These days he is. I am talking about early 80's to late 80's when they were the gods of metal.

and JP is now consider as a power metal band also.HAIR metal sounds like hard rock.but main diffrence between hard rock and hair metal is hair metal bands are more melodious.the songs can be hard but melody is essential. sometimes hair metal also called glam rock.because some hair metalllians put makeup,mask on their face as 70s glam rockers LIKE KISS,SLADE,SWEET.NEW YORK DOLLS ETC did.but musically hair metal or pop metal is different than glam rock.

Maybe MTV made a mistake by showing Def Leppard on the hair metal catagory.. maybe i should give them a call to fix the prob. Maybe some intern there srewed up the catagory.. appologise behalf of MTV. Well maybe Judas Priest isn't a hair metal band (depending how you catagirize it ) but from the mid 70's to early 90's metal wasn't metal without hair and slow or heavy they were all hair metal... if you guys really wanna know my favourate hair metal (ur catagory), which in my catagory "chicks rock" is White Lion only because i think they had a great voice and a great guitar player.

def leppard is also played in some of the pop-rock radio stations in the united states.. does it mean they are a pop-rock band.. no.. just because they are considered classic metal doesn't mean they are only metal.

look rycubpa hair metal doesnt mean the guys must have long hair.its another trande of music.or u can say another branch of rock music.def leppard changed their music style from late 80.but they cant never be called a hair metal band.here is some comments about from world biggest metal site-

yes its true they have changed their style but its not sounded like hair metal.from 90 they experiment rock music with different kids of music from eastern classic to pop.SLANG AND X album is a good example of that. i think that from 90 they can be called a pop metal band.though EUPHORIA is harder than SLANG AND X.

Listen, i don't want to argue with you on this matter. All i said is that VH1 and MTV both had a show called best of hair metal. In those shows they both showed Def leppard as a hair metal band .. so before you give me the big lecture go and give MTV and VH1 the big lecture.... I really don't care whether def leppard is Hair metal or heavy metal. To my judgement they never were a heavy metal band.. where Judas Priest was. DL was more a hard rock than metal. Well i was always into the heavier stuff ( Slayer, Sepaltura was my most favourates back in the days) so maybe thats why my taste is like this.. but hey if you say they are not .. THEY ARE NOT. So, be happy.

p.s. = Metal Maze has the metal word in their name .. but i don't find them singing metal songs either. All these awsome musicians but doing something that is not metal. I heard the name right before i left Dhaka and when i saw the cd in NY i was so excited and bought it but when i heard the songs it just broke my heart. I stopped the car on sholder of the busiest highway (NJ turnpike).. got out of the car and screamed in anger then tossed it out in the woods and since then i don't care about Metal Maze. But i am sure you guys have a whole lotta fans out there. Not trying to be offensive or anything.. just letting out my emotion. Sorry for going off topic.

RYCUBPA i am also into the haviest stuff like naplam death,slayer,decide,grip inc.,warlord,nevermore,testament etc.but i try to study about music and try to listen bach, mozart to tool,avantasia.thats my problem also...i think u can understand what i want to say. yes MM is using metal without being very metallic.but the name is established(band formed in mid 95).we hope that u can hear some pure metal songs from our next album.we r under prossesing for recording now.another thing we r not in battle....just discussic and shareing what we know.take care .... say yeah....

If i am not mistaken then one of your band member is Gregorian.. right? Well.. someone told me that a while ago, could be wrong. I was a gregorian (St. Gregory school) and i always wanted to form a band with gregorians but i never could do it. Seemed like no one had the balls to show their talent and we had a few very talented musicians at that time. So, i went with others. But when i heard that there's a gregorian in MM.. i guess i kinda expected a lot my style of music that i was looking for in Bngla metal. So, that could be one of the biggest reason i am dissapointed with the first album. But i surely didn't forget to mention that all MM members are very talented in my post. So, anyway.. good luck and looking forward to some great stuff in the new one. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Metal Maze's demo album was a metal one (Unreleased). I had the copy with me, but for some reason I 've lost it. I guess, they want to do metal songs, but they also have to look the market demand. May be thats why, they have changed their music pattern. The album (Demo of MM) I am talkin about is simply a pure Hard rock album..well some tracks were kind of Metal. I still cant bliv wat Rajiv is doing ... With my own eyes I saw him singing Iron Maiden's numbers so perfectly....

So Rycubpa, I think its not their fault...that they joined the word Metal in their band with the intention that they will do Metal songs, but they also have to survive. As they are not doing very good in producing metal numbers (Like CF, Artcell) -- (I still dont kno Y :\ ..they have the gutz)...they have shifted to such a pattern, which I cant define. Its horrible !!

There is a track in MM's album....."Ekti mon jokhon kade" .... ki track ke ki banailo ?? Demo te ki shunsilam ar aikhane accoustic diya ki ekta habijabi banai fello. Sux !!

Umm...this is about hair metal bands that we like, so let's stay on topic, please. I'm sure we can discuss MM somewhere else, although I do agree that they should do more metal....their album was very disappointing to me too, to say the least, especially since I liked their first single "Proshno" in Charpotro so much...anyway, when it comes to hair metal, I gotta say Motley Crue rocked my world. Songs like Dr Feelgood, Home Sweet Home, Tommy Lee's insanse drumming in their prime, their off stage excesses, yep....they were the ultimate hair metal band. MOTLEY CRUE RULEZ!!!
