Compared to many other "producers", Balam actually has some good "pieces". I particularly like his guitar works. I only listened two or three songs of the first album though.

Best wishes to him for the upcoming album.

hahahahaha.....posts above really made me giggle. But at the end of the day, Balam is the one who is getting it all.

Maybe he is making music for 15/16 year old rather than for the old hags!! Who cares!!! If someone likes his music that "someone" will buy his music. And here comes the easy math, "if someone doesn't like his music, that someone wont buy it". How simple could be than that??;]

    good luck!!!

Atleast he can sing... and can play guitar. His works here are there are not that bad. Some other 'producers' cant even sing and uses effect on thr voice.

shetai. jodio gaangula khet. but atleast he sings good and plays excellent guitar, rather than copying music (f***), voice processing (h****), and he has an inch of better lyrics than (h**** k***).

why everyone has to love him and buy his album? Why shouldn't a metal freak understand there is something called "pop music". why everyone has to do rock and metal music ... if he is earning the bucks, thn thats because he knows how to do it.

he has his audience and they love him and thats why he has been doing sold out concerts... if you are more capable thn him please contribute in the bangla music...we will sure decide whether to throw tomatoes or flower.

if you dont like his type of music dont listen to it. thats what i do...ajob

I Hate him only because He was in Warfaze and was involved in one of my most album in BD, Alo. Then with him on the vocals Warfaze came up with their worst possble albums period , Moharaj . Bohut gali khaise halae. Then jokhon she bujhche rock music tar place na, tokhon she guitar niye taka kamanor dhandae pop music kortese. Which is basically a Huge step down for a muscian Like him. Cause anybody can do pop*s. But how many hav the ability to rock and then metal and onwards..

I hate him bcz he sacrificed his talent in the urge of money. And a muscian should never b respected once he does that.
ths why I Like Habib, fuad, Tahsan more than him. Cz they do wht they do best. But I just cant stand "tomaaaa------r Jonno..............bhashlo dupur....". whenvere kono dokane eta shuru hoe ami amar Gf re niya nishobde bair hoye Jay.

    I thought Im clear enough.

man...thats so much hate you got for Balam. Let me tell you something, I know Balam personally from 20 years ago. And in the early 90s in Dhaka city if there was a young awesome guitar player around, that would be Balam. He did his share with Dhaka band music society enough I think. After contributing with so many bands without making money I think that this is his time to make money. Only one Warfaze's album doesn't justify him as a bad musician. LIke Life for rent said, he has his own crowd and they love him hence he is makin' it big right?? Doesn't matter how crappy his music is to you, his music career wont stop just because FEW ppl hate him. Balam lifted The band called Renegade with his tuned song and won B&H award over "Winning" in the mid 90s. He didn't make any money though. He contributed in Warfaze's 1st and 2nd albums as well. He played with Ark, Pentagone, Guns, Those who care, Rebeats, Renegade, Warfaze...etc and this is so far I can remember.

Hating a musician may make you feel better but it wont stop that musician's career since the hating crowd is so tiny!! Even Joe satriani, steve vai makes bad albums that ppl wont listen more than once or twice. I walked out from Steve Vai's concert in the middle of the show couple of years back because I got bored of listening to his guitar chops like a swirling noise wave but I dont hate him!!! At the end of the day, to each is own!!! Balam did enough and it's his time get paid back!!! And the boy is doin' really good with all and I wish him the best!!!

PS: I dont see anyone complaining about Sazzad, Tipu, Kamal, Cezene (spell check) or Shams who worked on Moharaj also!! Why Balam only has to take all the crapzz??? its so retarded!!!

I have seen warfaze live a coupla times back in 07, when Balam was still in the band, and I really like his singing, he's a very capable singer, I dunno why people see him as some outsider who wasn't deserving of a spot in Warfaze. And he couldn't have possibly single handedly made Moharaj the ''horrible'' album that some claim it to be, the entire band obviously thought it was good music and hence published the album, why pin the blame on Balam just because he was a part of the band then? Blame Warfaze if you think it was a crap album. Also I think his pop efforts are pretty good too, some of the songs are pretty damn catchy, hehe, yes I like this so called ''khet'' music that he's into lately. Stop dissing Balam you dickwads.... we have things like ''Borkha Pora Meye'' and ''Laal Jambura'' to worry about, especially when they're being marketed on youtube as ''hot bangladeshi videos''. ^_^

I agree 200% with Crossfade and 666. He is an absolutely amazing guitarist, with chops and musicianship much better than our famous stars, and in my opinion, the best male singer in town. I have heard him sing in front of us with only a acoustic guitar and his perfection of pitch beyond belief. Regarding 'Moharaaj' please remember that there were other new members who came in and composed for that album - its not only Balam's fault.

Being a pop singer/composer is not as easy as it may seem from a distance. It takes quite a amount of talent to write catchy tunes. If you really go and listen to all the early Bangla rock tunes - the ones we grew up with and still remember at any moment, all those were more close to pop than rock.

If not for all the above, I would still support Balam bhai because he is a very good person with a great heart. Atleast he doesnot play dirty politics with younger bands and neither does he 'control' the music scene with his influence. He is a great guy, and I respect him a whole lot only for that.
